Dog Boots
Like dog shoes, dog boots make people giggle. The reality
is frostbite is a real threat for dogs when they spend extended amounts
of time in the snow. Dogs that are adapted to cold climates may not
struggle as much as breeds that weren’t bred to stomp around in
the snow.
Dog boots not only protect the pads of the paw but also keep the top
of the foot and lower part of the leg warm too. If an owner is a winter
sports enthusiast and likes to take their dog snowshoeing then protective
footwear should be considered.
A good pair of dog boots will be made of a water proof or water resistant
material. They can also be insulated or lined with fleece for extra
warmth. The boots should also have a tread that grips to prevent slipping.
Once a dog gets used to the boots they will love spending time out in
the snow.
