Dog clothing is a growing trend. It’s easy for canines to be part of the fashion scene with top name designers getting in on the action. Owners decked out in Gucci can share their love of the designer with their dogs.

Specialty stores online showcase dog clothing in shirts, dresses, skirts, sweaters, hats and other accessories. Most of these items are designed for the smaller “accessory” dogs. There are items for larger dogs, measurements of the dog and the weight will be necessary in order to find the right size.

Dogs just won’t jump into dog clothing on first try. It takes a little training to get the dog used to wearing clothing. The best method is to start out with small pieces first and reward the dog with treats as she learns to accept her new identity as a fashionista.
