Dog Shoes
When a person sees a dog strutting around in shoes they
can’t help but laugh. The idea of an animal wearing shoes seems
ludicrous, but in reality they do have a purpose. The shoes can protect
puppy’s paws from the elements.
In the hot summer months pavement and concrete can reach scorching temperatures.
A dog’s paws can easily scald or blister with too much time on
the hot surfaces. If an owner plans on taking her dog on a stroll through
the hot city it’s a good idea to put dog shoes on her pal.
Getting a dog used to the shoes takes some practice. The best start
is to put all four on at once so they can’t shake one loose while
the others are off. Reward, reward, reward and praise the dog as she
accepts the shoes, knowing that the hard work will pay off in saving
the dogs feet.
