Dog Tags

Every owner should make sure their dog or dogs are properly identified. Dog tags help a lost pet return home quickly. When someone sees a dog with tags it’s safe to assume the dog is not a stray.

Dog tags should include the name of the dog, an address and a phone number. The owner’s name is optional (some people leave it off for safety reasons.) Along with the basic id tag, a rabies tag should be included, this let’s animal control know the animal is healthy.

A dog should never roam outside without his or her tags. In the unlikely event of an accident or loss the dog’s chances for survival are much higher with the assistance of helpful humans. Tags can be created with customs designs and shapes to match the pooch’s personality.
