Pet Apparel

It’s not easy picking out pet apparel. It’s hard to know the right size and what will work for each individual dog. Having some information ahead of time can make the process a little easier.

First off, the dog will need to be measured. Measure the neck, the chest and the waist. Also measure the entire length and weigh the dog. Have all these numbers written down and it’s a physical store, bring a measuring tape (online stores should have measurements listed.)

Look for items made from com fortable fabrics, avoid materials that may be irritating or scratchy. Make sure the holes for legs and the hole for the neck are big enough, with an inch or so of give. Pet apparel should never be skin tight, the dog will hate it. If an item is purchased and the holes are just barely too small cutting the article will make it more comfortable for the animal.
